Hi friends!
When I was pregnant with my daughter three years ago (seriously, where is the time going?), I experienced one thing we always hear about when it comes to pregnancy: food cravings.
I finally lived the thing I’d seen in movies all my life (besides the butt-kicking nausea): craving specific foods like your life depends on it.
I was lucky to crave mostly super healthy and fresh foods like cucumbers, pickles, pears, and cherries. And according to Google, craving that many cucumbers most certainly meant I was carrying a boy.
Anyway, this experience made me realize something important: cravings are powerful things.
Craving something feels like you need it more than you want it.
And you know who’s good at cravings? ADHD brains.
ADHD brains tend to get less dopamine, so they often crave more of it to feel motivated or rewarded.
How do our brains get the dopamine they crave so much?
They engage in activities that stimulate it. But the catch is, we’re not always conscious of that…
Getting better at understanding why our ADHD brains do what they do, that’s exactly what the wonderful people who already signed up to receive the next issue of my printed newsletter are doing.
Because let’s be honest, when you get diagnosed with ADHD, nobody gives you the instructions that should come with it. So I decided to do it!
Each month I’m crafting (writing and drawing!) with my heart and soul a 12 to 18 pages unique piece of art, an educational letter, printed on thick and soft paper, that you get directly in your mailbox, to help you finally make sense of your ADHD brain.
I’m sure about one thing: if you like my emails, you’ll LOVE my ADHD & Emotion Letter. That’s why I’m currently offering a free trial so you can see if you like it before committing to receiving it in your mailbox every month 📮
