hey, I am younger and was diagnosed at 13 but I feel like people don't believe that it feels like my brain is against itself and that I don't have ADHD because I'm not very hyperactive. thanks this makes me feel seen 🩷🩷

Honestly, I wish I had the money right now to spend on getting a diagnosis. Every time you post something I feel like you're talking directly to my own problems. It's nice to know I'm not alone. I'm struggling between work, school, and managing my relationship. Forgetting to do things has been my worst issue. Thank you for sharing ways to improve and deal with these things, you're a godsend.

Hello I got diagnosed at like 10 or maybe 11 not sure somewhere around there. Anyways I feel the 2 brain thing you explained since I want to be productive and get stuff done however my brain gets distracted so easily. Most of the time it's a conversation outside the room I'm in, but sometimes a random thought can have me drop everything and get fixated on the thought.

I love this so much. This all sounds very similar to my own experience (43 here, diagnosed only 18 months ago...). The novelty thing especially - including with people. (There's a quote in 'Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind': "Why do I fall in love with every woman who shows me the slightest bit of attention?" ... Perhaps now I know why. Like so many other things: 'cos ADHD. 🙄

Ps. Two brains. Do you have a name/character for your ADHD brain? I do, and it's helpful! Even if only from an adding-humour-to-a-rubbish-situation respective....
